Charles Smaistrla

Charles has been an attorney in Austin for nearly 25 years. His areas of concentration include wills, estate planning, probate, administrative law, utility law, and business litigation. Charles is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the Austin Bar Association. His section memberships include real estate, probate and trust law, administrative and public law, antitrust and business litigation, and public utility law.

Charles is a graduate of both Texas A&M University and the University of Texas, with bachelor and doctoral degrees in economics and a juris doctor degree in law. Upon graduation from the University of Texas Law School, he served as briefing attorney for U.S. District Judge Jack Roberts. At the Public Utility Commission of Texas, he served as an Administrative Law Judge and as Executive Assistant to the chairman. He has been in private practice since 1991.
